Registration Information for Bryan County Pre-K

Registration for the 2025-2026 School year is open! 

 Lottery registration for the Bryan County School District’s Georgia Lottery Pre-K Classes program begins Saturday, February 1, 2025 and will end on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:59pm. 

All registration applications will be submitted online via the registration link found on the BCS website: https://www.bryan.k12.ga.us/page/pre-kindergarten . Children must be registered for the school in which their residency is zoned (see Attendance Area map). 

A child registering for Pre-K must be four years old on or before September 1, 2025. 

Registration Submittals Due by February 28, 2025 To be considered for the 2025-26 SY Pre-K Lottery, all registration applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025. Any applications received after Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. will be placed on the Pre-K Waiting List. 

Failure to submit complete and correct information or documents by the deadline will result in the registration being delayed and possibly missing the lottery. 

Pre-Kindergarten Lottery: The Bright from the Start Grant allows a specific number of students per class/per school.  A lottery from the list of registered Pre-K applicants will be held for each school in March to determine enrollment for that school. Lotteries will be conducted using random number generator software and the results will be published by 5:00pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Pre-K birthdate window is 9/2/2020 - 9/1/2021  

Be sure to have the following completed and ready to go BEFORE you start your registration. Failure to submit complete and correct information or documents will result in the registration being delayed and possibly missing the lottery.

  • A certified copy of a birth certificate; or a federal, state, county, or school document with date of birth.


  • Proof of Authorized Person to Enroll

  • Proof that Family lives in Bryan County Attendance Zone

    1. Must present: Current Electric, Water, or Gas Bill

      AND

      One of the following (must be the most recent & include address):

      • Current Residential Property Tax Statement or Bill

      • Current Lease/Rental Agreement

      • Current Home Purchase or Sales Agreement

      • Current Mortgage Statement

      • Current Homeowner/Renter Insurance

    2. If the student's family is residing in the home or apartment of another individual, the following is necessary for enrollment:

      • NOTARIZED joint residency affidavit including:

        • Signature of both the parent and person with whom the family is living. Both parties must be present at the same time and sign the document in front of school notary.

      • Two forms of Proof of Residency for person with whom family is living (See Option A for acceptable required documents)

  • Immunization/Health Certificate/Social Security Card

    • A valid certificate of immunization (Ga. Health Dept. Form #3231), or a notarized Affidavit of Religious Exemption (Department of Health Form #2208) is required for enrollment. The certificate of immunization must be completed by the health department or your health care provider. A valid Form #3231 must be marked with either “Date of Expiration” or as “Complete for School Attendance.” (A certificate marked with a “Date of Expiration” expires on the date indicated. A current certificate must be submitted within 30 days of expiration.) A medical exemption, if applicable, should be noted on Form #3231 with a current date of expiration. 

    • Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutrition Screening (Ga. Health Dept. Form #3300, rev. 2013), available from the health department or your doctor/dentist. A local Health Department may, in its discretion, accept written records of screenings performed by private 

      practitioners licensed in a State other than Georgia, provided that such screenings were conducted within one year prior to the time that the child is admitted for the first time to a Georgia public school. In such a case, the Health Department shall sign and issue a Certificate based upon the information in such written records and shall keep such written records on file. (511-5-6-.07) 

    • A Valid Social Security Card with the student's social security number must be presented or a Social Security waiver form must be completed. 

  • Previous School Records 

    • Report cards or official school transcript

    • Withdrawal form from previous school 

    • IEP. 504, ESOL, Gifted, and all grade level discipline records for students if applicable 
      *If forms are ready, they may be included in the registration. Forms are available from the Bryan County Health Department (756-2611 or 653-4331) or the child’s doctor.

About Proof of Residency 

  • Documents presented for residency verification must include the same address as the accompanying utility bill. 

  • The bill must have the name and address of the enrolling parent/guardian. 

  • Exception: A deed without an address is acceptable if accompanied by two utility bills (excluding telephone bills) with same address in attendance zone. 

  • A telephone bill is not acceptable. 

  • A contingency sales contract is not acceptable.
