Election Day today!
The RHMS Science Olympiad team traveled to Atlanta for state competition. Maddie Palmer and Jacob Welch captured the state championship for the Scrambler event. This is our first medal ever earned at the state level. Erin Gavin and Aiden Gray placed 9th in Crime Busters. Jacob Welch and Mikkel Welch with construction assistance from James Shin placed 10th in Bottle Rockets. The team returned from the competition in 18th place. This places the Wildcats in the top 9% of all the schools competing in Science Olympiad. #WeAreRHMS

7th grader, Savannah Legg, and 8th grader, Summer Swanson recently had their entries chosen to represent their grade levels for Bryan County in the Young Georgia Authors contest. Their entries will now compete at the district level. Congratulations Savannah and Summer!

Teachers recently attended a Professional Development session on Touchscreen Interactive Technology in the media center, conducted by the Media Specialist, Ms. Stewart and Technology Resource Teacher, Ms. Croy. Ms. Space, 7th grade ELA teacher, jumped right in and used the technology today with her 7th grade ELA classes. Students enjoyed doing presentations and review games with the interactive projector.
Students in Mr. Hodgdon's 7th grade science class and members of the Field Studies Program will be holding a yard sale at Richmond Hill High School on March 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All funds will go toward ecological studies equipment for the classroom and Field Studies Program. Anyone interested in donating items can drop the items off at the high school the evening of the 24th.

Students in Mr. Amason’s 9th grade literature and composition class traveled to Atlanta, GA to watch a performance of William Shakespeare’s" Much Ado About Nothing". The play was followed by lunch at the Varsity which was an equally exciting cultural experience. #WeAreRHMS
