Jasmine has been working really hard during swim practice and dry land practice, and is showing so much improvement. Way to go, Jasmine!
Connor is the model student-athlete. Connor is in his second year wrestling. On and off the mat only positivity surrounds him. His teachers always take time to remind the coach of what a great leader he is in the classroom, and his teammates gravitate to him on the mat. for the weeks of 11/22 through 12/3, Connor was named co-Wildcat Wrestler of the Week where he earned the tole of captain of the team. It is that time again for the 8th grade to vote for this year's superlatives. Voting window is February 3rd-9th. #WeAreRHMS

Girl's golf try outs are Tuesday Feb 8th from 3:30-4:30. Be sure to bring your golf clubs to school. Coach Bruneau will meet you at the exit doors next to the stage in the gym to get on the bus. Leave your classroom when first load is called. You must have a physical and registration on file, otherwise you will not be able to try out. This month the Media Center is celebrating Black History Month through reading. Students can earn badges and prizes by completing recommended reading and activity challenges. #WeAreRHMS

Wednesday, February 2nd, is World Read Aloud Day and students and staff from all over Bryan County are participating. Teachers, Media Specialists, Administrators, and Community Leaders are reading books on Google Meet as classes join in to watch. Such a fun day! There will be a mandatory girl's golf meeting February 1st at 8:15 in the cafeteria. You must fill out the try-out sign up form linked on the RHMS Girl's Golf page by February 1st to attend the meeting and try out. #WeAreRHMS


Students in Mr. Robertson's Science Enrichment class helped DNR Fisheries biologists Jason Howard and Frank Buchanan stock the small pond behind the RHMS softball field. Students will conduct a water quality and depth profile on both campus ponds and build fish attractors to shelter juvenile fish in the larger pond. #WeAreRHMS


Bryan County Schools Teachers of the Year were honored at this week's Board Meeting. We are so proud of our 7th Grade ELA Teacher, Ms. Ann Vitello, for representing RHMS. Ms. Vitello is a leader in her grade level and content area, and always goes above and beyond to help others. Congratulations Ms. Vitello! You are so deserving. #WeAreRHMS

RHMS hosted our first ever National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) 3D and Bullseye tournament on January 22nd. Four schools participated in the tourney: RHMS, RHHS, Veritas Academy and Vidalia Heritage Academy. Over 100 archers competed in the event. The top 3 for RHMS were Killian Gmachowski with a score of 251, Conner Hodgdon with a score of 242 and Averi Bennett with a score of 235. RHMS will host it’s next NASP Tournament on February 12th.
