Students… Ever wonder what it would be like to see one of your teachers kiss a pig? Now is your chance in the “Kiss Me I am Irish” contes! The teacher that raises the most money in their jar will have to kiss a pig on Thursday, March 18th.
For 6th Grade: Mrs. Beasley, Coach Bennett, Coach Cox, Coach Lyons, or Mrs. Pittman.
For 7th Grade: Mrs. Broome, Mrs. Butkovich, Mr. Moiser, Mrs. Morse, and Mrs. Sharp.
For 8th Grade: Mrs. Ennis, Mrs. Lewis, Mr. Robertson, and Coach Vallbracht.
For Connections: Coach Crippen, Coach Rider, and Coach Yontz.
And Representing the RHMS Admin Team: Our very own principal, Br. Bennett!
Jars will be placed in the atrium every morning during homeroom March 15th through March 18th, and the winner will be revealed during the morning announcements that day. Make sure to bring your loose change, it is going to be a “Sewwwweeeeeeet” time!

Ms. Martin's classes recently read "The City of Ember" and then watched the movie. Students worked collaboratively to create a presentations comparing/contrasting the movie vs. the book. #WeAreRHMS

RHMS Outdoor Ed students are enjoying learning about archery and competing against each on the range. #WeAreRHMS


The Girls Lacrosse team participated in their first tournament over the weekend. Team 1 payed against Coastal Empire winning the game with a final score of 13-2. In the second game against Effingham the team played with their non dominant hand and showed excellent sportsmanship. The final score was 14-0.
The goalie, Emma Mehl had total of 15 saves between both games. Jayla Baker demonstrated outstanding defensive plays with a total of 4 turnovers, 1 assist, and 3 ground ball recoveries. Taylor Selph had the most offensive ground balls recovering a total of 6 balls. Allie Bouton was the highest scorer for the team with a total of 5 goals between both games.
Team 2 played against Hilton Head tying with a final score of 6-6. In their second game against Effingham, RHMS won against Effingham with a final score of 9-2. The goalie, Atori Pergrina, had a total of 6 saves. Kaydence Delatorre demonstrated outstanding defensive plays with a total of 3 turnovers and 3 ground ball recoveries. Marley Gafford had the most offensive ground balls recovering a total of 5 balls. Alexis Minton was the highest scorer for the team with a total of 4 goals. Bella Hailey was our most versatile player for both games demonstrating outstanding offensive and defensive plays.


Thank you for supporting Literacy Day at RHMS. Your donations for Hat Day helped us meet our goal. We raised over $500.00 to support literacy. All proceeds will be used to provide books for classroom libraries!

Students and Staff all participated in Stop, Drop, and Read today at RHMS. Celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and promoting literacy, everyone was encouraged to grab their favorite book and take a break. For 15 minutes, teachers and students and administrators and support staff - EVERYONE - took a break and read! #WeAreRHMS #literacy


Instructional Lead Teachers Amber McWhorter and Brian Soash joined with Mrs. Anderson, 6th grade ELA teacher, to hold writing conferences with students. Students are researching the pros/cons of Deep Sea Mining. #WeAreRHMS
