Students in Ms. Allen's class are studying integers, and participated in a card game card Zero. Students used the black cards for positive numbers and the red cards as negative numbers. They had to create the smallest absolute value with two to 4 cards. They could hold at two cards or get up to two more cards.

Congratulations to our Student Athletes of the Week, Aubrey Ragins and Sydney Henry. This is what Coach Rider had to see about these girls. Aubrey Ragins - She has truly stepped up in rookie of the year fashion being a 6th grader. She does it all...from pitching to being our lead off batter. She does not shy away from pressure and no doubt will shine on the future of our softball program! Sydney Henry - She is a leader by example on and off the field as one of our 8th grade veterans. The need for her presence on our team goes without saying because she is a determined and hard working individual that is essential for our team to compete! Way to go Aubrey and Sydney! #WeAreRHMS

As part of our 9/11 tribute, Richmond Hill Middle School participated in The Wreaths Across American National Call to Wave Flags, the campaign to honor the victims and those affected by 9/11. Students lined the roadway and waived the American Flag for one minute at 8:46, the exact time the first plane, American Flight 11, flew into the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Our resource office, Officer Harwood, drove through with lights on as an additional tribute to the first responders who lost their lives. Check out a video of our tribute here: https://vimeo.com/456989116 #WeAreRHMS #FlagsAcrosstheCountry #AmericaStrong #NeverForget

The Wildcat football team defeated South Effingham 43 to 0 in their season opener. The offense led the way with 5 rushing touchdowns. Mathias Clark, Andrew Mathews, Caleb Easterling, Billy Cunningham, and Xavier Cherry all had one touchdown a piece. The defense also played well allowing only one touchdown and even scoring a touchdown with Aiden Grant's fumble recovery for a touchdown. The Wildcats will play at Langston Chapel next Wednesday. If you see a Wildcat football player, tell them congratulations and good luck next week. #WeAreRHMS
